Step 1: Choose Your Mount Type

There are two ways to install our blackout blinds:

Inside Mount

The blinds fit inside the window frame.

• Ideal for deep window recesses.
• Provides a clean, modern look
  

Outside Mount

The blinds cover the window and frame completely.

• Perfect for shallow window recesses
  

Step 2: Get the tools 

• Metal measuring tape (for accuracy)
• Paper & pen (to record measurements)
• Step ladder (if needed for tall windows)
  

Step 3: Measure your window

There are two ways to install our blackout blinds:

Inside Mount

Width: Measure the inside of the window frame at the top, middle, and bottom—write down the smallest number.

Height: Measure from the top to the bottom inside the frame at the left, middle, and right.

Depth: If your window has a deep recess, check that it's at least 1 inch for an inside mount.

Outside Mount

Width: Measure the entire width of the window including the frame.

Height: Measure from the top of the window frame to where you want the blinds to end.
